Start with the easy stuff. Ask yourself if the item disappeared tomorrow would you run out and replace it? Eliminate anything that's broken, damaged or no longer used. For example, if you live in Jacksonville and still have your snow shovel and ice scraper, you probably can donate it. Schedule a time each week to work on the clutter. Realize this is a marathon, not a sprint. You didn't accumulate everything overnight and you won't sort it out overnight either. And ask for help. Although you can do much of this work on your own, a family member, a good friend or even your Realtor can help make the job more manageable. Good luck.
